From left to right, Virginia Donohue, Donna Hines, Judith Lepuschitz, and Peggy Coffman stand in solidarity at the corner of 7th and Pearl. They make up a group called the Women in Black. It is a worldwide movement of people who simply “stand for peace,” as Coffman puts it.
A group of protesters met in front of the Eugene Federal Courthouse on October 21st, 2017. Monica Olson (left) came dressed as Melania Trump, Niraja Lorenz (middle) is dressed as a handcuffed President Trump, and Merry Caston (right) is dressed as a witch. The group is made up of various local organizations including, Indivisible and 350 Eugene, but also open to any individual members of the community. The group meets every Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. to protest the current president and the current issues and controversies his presidency.
